Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the accounting department and the company's total financial functions and affiliated entities controlled by ownership. He or she must possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others and a strong work ethic. This role will lead by example and will take the company to new heights as the company continues to expand.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee cash flow, AR, AP, G/L, Collections, and month end closing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements.
• Set standards for credit for distributors and customers.
• Provide reporting for year-end tax preparations/filings.
• Set goals and document office standards and procedures.
• Devise programs and create standards of performance to attain these goals
• Evaluate the quantity of activity, the quality of activity and the effectiveness of the effort and report those results to management on a monthly basis.
• Implement Bill of Materials strategy to capture costs.
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and business plan.
• Recommend process or design improvements where they would reduce cost or improve overall quality.
• Develop budgets for Sales department, trade shows, projects and business development

Qualifications/Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in business/Finance/Accounting preferred
• 5-7 years of Controller experience backed by manufacturing or e-commerce industry experience.
• Experience using QuickBooks software a must.
• Proficient with NetSuite software and Shopify - a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
• Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
